NanoMech is developing coatings, coating processes, and coating systems that can be applied in various industries to develop new products and solve a variety of manufacturing problems. For example, we have pioneered the development of coatings suitable for harsh machining (e.g., turning of hardened steels). We are developing self-lubricating and temperature-adaptive coatings that can solve problems in manufacturing and in many types of machinery (e.g., coating of machine wear parts). We also have coatings that exhibit excellent biocompatibility and durability for use in biomedical applications.
